Start with the concern
Describe what is bothering you and what you hope will change. Bring the offer that prompted the question, including the product’s full name and whether it is a cream, gel or injection.
Choose a way to talk
Ask an in-person clinic or a telehealth service how they would assess your concern. Telehealth delivers care through video calls, phone calls or an exchange online.
Ask who is assessing you
Get the health professional’s full name and licence details. Ask how to send your questions and any visit records they request.
Leave with an explanation
Ask what the health professional found, what choices were discussed, and why any next step was proposed. Put the cost questions beside that explanation.
Remote care still needs permission to practise
As of September 2026, health professionals giving remote care must follow the practice rules for the state the patient is in when the visit takes place.
Ask about the state where you will actually be sitting. A service’s web address does not answer that question.
