A GHK-Cu guide

Check the person and the pharmacy

  • Get the full name

Ask for the health professional’s name, professional role and licence details. If a medicine made to order is proposed, ask which pharmacy makes and sends it.

  • Open the right public record

As of September 2026, physician licence status and public disciplinary information are published by state medical boards. A physician is a medical doctor. Disciplinary information means the board’s formal actions about that person’s practice.

  • Check the pharmacy separately

As of September 2026, pharmacy licences are held in records kept by state boards of pharmacy. Match the pharmacy name on the estimate with the name in the record.

  • Ask about anything that does not match

If a name, location or licence detail differs, ask the service to explain it. Keep the answer with the quote.

Use the directories to reach the board

FDA means Food and Drug Administration. Its pharmacy page leads to the state’s record. For a doctor, use the state medical board. For the pharmacy, use the state pharmacy board. If another kind of health professional will assess you, ask which board holds that person’s licence.

A note on the sources

Start with the board’s own public record.

Medical-board information for consumers

If a seller presents an FDA record, ask whether it shows an approval or only records the business or medicine.

FDA explanation of approval claims

A person’s licence and a product’s status need separate answers.
