Name the person who answers
Ask who handles your questions after the visit. Is it the assessing health professional, another health professional or an administrative contact?
Name what the fee covers
Ask whether messages, results discussions and later visits are included. Request the charge for anything that sits outside the package.
Plan for a change
Ask how to arrange another assessment if the original plan no longer fits your concern. Ask who can arrange care in person.
Know how to leave
Ask how to cancel a membership, stop recurring charges and get a copy of the visit notes.
Questions need a route back to the health professional
As of September 2026, a national group of medical boards advises that patients need a way to reach their health professional with questions after the visit.
Whether that help is required by law depends on the state’s rules; this national advice is not itself a law.
Before paying, ask the service to put its contact details, response time and fees in writing. If it cannot explain how to get help, you can look for another service.
